2026 Purple Polka Dot Race on August 9, 2026, at Stony Creek Metropark
Every birthmark tells a story and this is ours
On March 4, 2015, we welcomed our beautiful daughter into the world. She arrived absolutely perfect – 10 fingers, 10 toes and a special birthmark on her cheek and chin!
Months later we found out that her birthmark was something called a port wine stain (PWS) – a kind of vascular birthmark. We immediately started our search for answers and came across the most supportive and loving community that we are so lucky to be a part of. The vascular birthmark community has not only provided us with social supports but also with medical support as we have needed.
Our incredible 10-year old currently receives laser treatments for her PWS, which cause her to have temporary purple polka dots on her face. Our mission is to raise awareness, encourage acceptance for all those out there who are also sporting their very own “purple polka dots”, and educate everyone we know about all things related to vascular birthmarks!!
All of the funds raised by the Purple Polka Dot Race go directly to support our new non-profit foundation called Vascular Anomalies Alliance(VAA). Over the past 9 years, YOU have helped us raise over $200,000 for the vascular birthmark community. We are looking forward to continuing to support the VAA to help them further their mission!
Our goal in 2025 is to raise $20,000, which can be used in a meaningful way to support the birthmark community through various VAA programming. Please consider joining us on this achievable mission!!
Thank you all for your continued love, support and understanding! See you in August!
Much love – John, Jody, Meghana & Serena Lee

Hope the race was a huge success. will be there next year Lots of Love – Rohan and Naveen, Ajji and Pa
